Sorry for english speakers, but this band have no interest if you don’t speak french. So…
Pas la peine que je me cogne cet article en anglais…. Je ne connais que deux personnes qui aiment les Elles autant que moi. Alors on sait jamais… Peut être que quelqu’un se manifestera ici et me fera sortir de mon désespoir musical à ce sujet. Je me fais pas trop d’illusions non plus. Clairement, c’est de la chanson française. Mais de la BONNE ! C’est parfois cru, parfois émouvant, souvent touchant, toujours vrai ! Je recommande toute la discographie, il y a des perles dans tous les albums. Dans l’album Pamela Pacemaker, écoutez Armand, une des chansons les plus authentiques de leur discographie selon moi. Dans l’album éponyme, écoutez les Ciseaux Pointus et revivez mon enfance… Dans celui-ci, écoutez tout…
Orthopedia : “J’aime bien Eddy Mitchell, je met son poster dans mon lit et puis j’enlève tous mes habits, je l’embrasse sur la bouche, des fois ma mère m’appelle, j’lui dis “tais toi, je fais l’amour, quand tu l’fais t’aimes pas que j’te r’garde”” (si vous entendez quelqu’un chanter ça dans la rue, une chance sur deux que ce soit moi !)
Since I heard the cover of “Eleanor Rigby” by Pain, I can say just one thing : I hate covers. I really hate that. Ok I spoke about Disorder of Joy Division (and its incredible cover by Year Of No Light, and it is true, this cover is probably one of my favorite songs….). So there are some exceptions. Homesick by The Cure, covered by Rosetta (listen Wake/Lift from them, close your eyes, enjoy and cry) is one of them.

Driving a car while listening this album is prohibited ! (Personnaly, I don’t fucking care of traffic lights or pedestrians when I listen this album.) So, one accident later (actually three but who cares ?), I have to recommand it ! Dark, sexy, dirty, subtle !
My favorites : Mr Self Destruct, Piggy, Closer, Ruiner, The Becoming, Big Man With A Gun, Eraser, Reptile, The Downward Spiral, Hurt (but in comparison with Johnny Cash’s cover, it sucks…)
Joy Division - Disorder
For once, I will not speak about an album. Sometimes, we can’t understand the way that music come to us… I discovered this song thanks to an incredible cover from a french band called Year Of No Light (really, listen it on Youtube with tags like Year Of No Light Disorder Cover). I would like to better know Joy Division, but I can’t listen another song from them….

My appreciation is absolutely not objective ! This is probably THE album of my life ! I am always four years old when I listen it. When we seek in our parent’s discography at this age, we look for colors, fun. This album is perfect for that ! The cover is amazing, the pictures are great ! With this album, I’ll always be “the girl with kaleidoscope eyes” !
EDIT : I am so proud to announce that I have it in original LP 12’ !!!! (yes yes original from 1967 !!!!!)

Animal Alpha has unfortunately disbanded in 2009. Since the participation of Agnete Kjolsrud in the album of Dimmu Borgir, Abrahadabra, in 2010, Pheromones is an untraceable CD in France because of its success : so crazy, so dynamic, resolutely rock, with a circus atmosphere !
